If you are an overseas skilled worker and wish to migrate to Australia to work for an Australian employer, the TSS 482 Visa can be the option. This visa allows an Australian employer to sponsor an overseas worker for a temporary period. The Australian Department of Home Affairs had launched this visa on 19 March 2019 as a replacement for the Subclass 457 Visa. Depending on your occupation, you may be allowed to live for 2 to 4 years in Australia.
In addition to allowing an overseas individual to work for an Australian company, it also helps obtain a permanent residence visa. This blog discusses all the necessary details that you have to be aware of before applying.
How can the Temporary Skill Shortage Visa Subclass 482 allow you to work in Australia?
When you apply for the Temporary Skill Shortage Visa Subclass 482, you will have three streams to choose from.

Applicants with skills in an occupation listed on the Regional Occupation List or Medium and Long-Term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) can apply for this stream. This stream allows an applicant to stay and work in Australia for a maximum of 4 years. An important benefit of this stream is that you can apply for an Australian permanent residency after living for three years.
